AZNM1-1 Hemimorphite & Calcite - 79 Mine, Hayden, Gila County, Arizona $65; Beautiful blue mammilary hemimorphite (which is sometimes mistaken for smithsonite) has two different habits of calcite crystals associated. This is a very good cabinet sized specimen from this famous locale. Size: 10 x 5.5 x 4 Sold
AZNM1-2 Azurite - Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona $45; Lustrous sparkling azurite crystals fill the vug. There's some minor massive malachite associated. Size: 5 x 4.5 x 4
AZNM1-3 Copper, Chalcocite, Calcite & Malachite - Campbell Mine, Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona $90; "Stick type" chalcocite crystals are branching off of arborescent and modified cubic copper crystals. Small patches of velvety malachite crystals are also present. While the copper and calcite crystals are easy to see with the naked eye, the chalcocite (which is rare in crystalline form from Bisbee) and malachite need magnification to be appreciated. Size: 7 x 5.5 x 3.5 Sold
AZNM1-4 Smithsonite - Kelly Mine, Magdalena District, Socorro County, New Mexico $45; My pathetic photos don't even come close to capturing the fine sheen that the Kelly Mine smithsonite specimens are famous for. This is nice! Size: 2.8 x 3.5 x 2.6 Reserved
AZNM1-5 Aurichalcite - Kelly Mine, Magdalena District, Socorro County, New Mexico $65; Almost all of the aurichalcite you see from the Kelly Mine is present as small crystals included within smithsonite, which help to give the smithsonite the great color that is so famous. This is a VERY good aurichalcite specimen from here with free-standing crystals in clusters and sprays. Size: 4.5 x 2 x 2 Sold
AZNM1-6 Malachite & Quartz - Orogrande, Orogrande District, Otero County, New Mexico $25; Acicular malachite crystals have been partially overgrown with lustrous quartz crystals, a classic association from this district! Size: 4.8 x 3.2 x 2 Sold
AZNM1-7 Malachite - Planet Mine, Planet, La Paz County, Arizona $25; Although you can see the green of the malachite at some places along the edge of the specimen, the display surface is actually a little deeper blue-green than the photos show. When I first saw this I thought it was rosasite (perhaps a surface alteration or deposit). Since it comes with a previous label from David Shannon (dated 12/79) I'm not going to argue. He was very good with his locality and mineral identification information. I can say that good quality Planet Mine malachite specimens like this are extremely hard to find! Size: 4.2 x 3 x 2 Sold
AZNM1-8 Wulfenite with Chrysocolla after Hemimorphite - 79 Mine, Hayden, Gila County, Arizona $30; Pale blue chrysocolla has replaced tabular hemimorphite crystals. The gemmy orange wulfenite crystals growing on top of these pseudomorphs remind me of the Red Cloud Mine wulfenites. Overall a very striking color contrast. Size: 3 x 2.5 x 1.2 Sold
AZNM1-9 Wulfenite & Chrysocolla - 79 Mine, Hayden, Gila County, Arizona $35; As above. Under magnification both of these are stunning! Size: 4.5 x 2.2 x 1.2 Sold
