CO1-1 Rhodochrosite & Quartz - American Tunnel, Sunnyside Mine, Howardsville, Silverton District, San Juan County, Colorado $125; Rhombic and discoidal rhodochrosite crystals are richly spread across a crystalline quartz matrix. The bottom is sawn so the specimen sits perfectly for display. Size: 7.5 x 4 x 5 Reserved
CO1-2 Barite - Black Cloud Mine, Iowa Gulch, Leadville, Lake County, Colorado $25; A beautifully zoned 1.5 cm barite crystal has several smaller barite crystals, as well as some minor pyrite crystals, associated with it. A Leadville classic! Size: 2.9 x 2 x 2.5
CO1-3 Rhodochrosite & Quartz - American Tunnel, Sunnyside Mine, Howardsville, Silverton District, San Juan County, Colorado $45; Bright pink rhodochrosite crystals are growing in a vug with lustrous micro quartz crystals. The matrix has quite a bit of argentiferous galena. Size: 8 x 6 x 5.5
CO1-4 Hubnerite - Adams Mine, Cement Creek, Silverton, Silverton District, San Juan County, Colorado $75; This very fine cluster of hubnerite crystals has just a little quartz matrix. I think that most of the hubnerite specimens from here aren't too attractive, but this one is an exception as it really displays well. Size: 4 x 3.7 x 2
CO1-5 Sphalerite - Bachelor Mine, Creede, Mineral County, Colorado $160; Classic gemmy green sphalerite crystals are aesthetically spread across this cabinet specimen. Some of the crystals exhibit repeated twinning while one shows perfect spinel-law twinning. There are some minor dings to some crystals as seen in the photos, but I think the price more than fairly reflects this. Size: 9 x 6 x 3.5 Reserved
CO1-6 Rhodochrosite & Quartz - American Tunnel, Sunnyside Mine, Howardsville, Silverton District, San Juan County, Colorado $60; A 2.2 cm wide rhodochrosite crystal is preferentially coated with micro quartz crystals. The pink color is muted in the photos, in person this is MUCH better looking! Size: 5 x 4 x 3.5
CO1-7 Rhodochrosite & Quartz - American Tunnel, Sunnyside Mine, Howardsville, Silverton District, San Juan County, Colorado $175; A cluster of large (to 2.6 cm across!) rhodochrosite crystals is lightly coated with micro quartz crystals. Rhodochrosite crystals of this size were rare from American Tunnel. The base is sawn so this displays perfectly. Size: 7.5 x 5 x 6 Reserved
CO1-8 Quartz & Manganoan Calcite - Idarado Mine, Red Mountain District, Ouray, Ouray County, Colorado $40; Sharp scalenohedral calcite crystals richly cover one side of a quartz cluster. I don't have an ultraviolet light to check this, but most of the manganoan calcite from here really fluoresces well. Size: 4.5 x 3.5 x 7.5 Reserved
CO1-9 Rhodochrosite, Pyrite, & Pyrite after Pyrrhotite - 1700" Level, Eagle Mine, Gilman, Eagle County, Colorado $45; This aesthetic specimen features a cluster of pyrite after pyrrhotite (last photo), something VERY rarely seen on an Eagle Mine rhodochrosite. Size: 3.8 x 3 x 2 Reserved
CO1-10 Silver - Bulldog Mountain Mine, Creede, Mineral County, Colorado $100; This beautiful mass of swirling silver wires has a very small bit of matrix attached. Ex Terry and Marie Huizing collection. Size: 3 x 1.8 x 1 Reserved
