All of the specimens on this page are radioactive, so they should be handled and displayed accordingly.
RA1 Autunite - Autun, France $15; Good flat crystals make up this cluster 2.2 x 1 x 1 Reserved
RA2 Autunite - Autun, France $15; Classic bladed crystals form this representative cluster. 1.5 x 1.1 x .3
RA3 Autunite - Daybreak Mine, Spokane, Washington $15; The freshly exposed faces of this specimen (as well as the rest of the autunites from here) is a rich dark green color. The sides of these that show the crystal terminations are a much lighter green. All of these are tremendous fluorescent specimens, glowing a bright lime green in ultraviolet light. 1.8 x 1.5 x 2 Reserved
RA4 Autunite - Daybreak Mine, Spokane, Washington $10; As above. 2 x 1 x 1.5 Reserved
RA5 Autunite - Daybreak Mine, Spokane, Washington $10; As above. 2.7 x 2 x 2 Reserved
RA6 Autunite - Daybreak Mine, Spokane, Washington $10; As above. 2.5 x 1.5 x 2 Reserved
RA7 Coconinoite - White Canyon District, San Juan County, Utah $15; The top half of the specimen is richly covered with coconinoite, one of the rare uranium phosphates. 2 x .6 x 2
RA8 Metazeunerite - White Canyon District, San Juan County, Utah $15; This rare uranium/copper/arsenic bearing mineral occurs here as tiny crystals in bunched in clusters, which are sparsely spread across the display surface. 2.5 x .3 x 1.5 Reserved
RA9 Metazeunerite - White Canyon District, San Juan County, Utah $10; As above. 2.8 x 2.8 x .7 Reserved
RA10 Autunite and Uranophane (?) - Lawson Mine, Spruce Pine, North Carolina $10; The top pocket contains tabular autunite crystals, while the bottom pocket has what looks like a small cluster of uranophane. I haven't had this tested to positively ID the uranophane (because the testing would destroy the cluster), so that's my best guess. 1.7 x 2 x 1
RA11 Torbernite - Chalk Mountain Mine, Spruce Pine, North Carolina $15; Gemmy lime green torbernite platelets are liberally spread across the display surface. 2.3 x 1.5 x .5 Reserved
RA12 Tyuyamunite & Coffinite - Mt. Pisgah, Mauch Chunk, Pennsylvania $15; You get two of the uncommon radioactive species on this specimen. The coffinite occurs in the dark colored matrix, while the yellow tyuyamunite richly covers the surface. Good locality specimen! 2.3 x 2.5 x 2
RA13 Tyuyamunite & Coffinite - Mt. Pisgah, Mauch Chunk, Pennsylvania $15; As above. 2.3 x 2.5 x 2.5 Reserved
RA14 Boltwoodite - Rossing Mine, Rossing, Swakopmund District, Namibia $20; Golden acicular boltwoodite crystals are growing on crude calcite crystals. From the world's largest open pit uranium mine, this is a good representative specimen of this colorful and popular uranium mineral. 4.5 x 1.7 x 1.7 Reserved
